The monthly board meeting was held on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 with all
directors present.
    Don Leidel spoke to the board regarding the possibility of the club holding a
demonstration in the use of the new voting machines in an effort to make
people feel comfortable in the use of the new machines. The demonstration
will be open to the community and will include an ice cream social to be held
on Friday, March 15, 2002 between 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM.
    Upcoming tennis events include a round robin on March 20TH, the ongoing club
championships and the USPTA Exhibition Match on March 27, 2002 at 6:30 PM.
Treasurer's report for January 2002 - Jere Berkey reported that as of the end
of January 2002 the club is favorable on the net income side by $11,000 over budget.
    Club Manager Kevin Richards reported that the resurfacing work on the pool
and spa was completed on February 12TH and February 16TH respectively. Any
LRC member interested in taking the training course in the use of the
defibrillator may sign up in the Pro Shop.
    As the liaison with the outgoing social committee chair, Barbara Pendrell
reported that several LRC members attended a meeting to discuss getting new
people with fresh ideas to help with upcoming events. There are sign up
sheets in the Pro Shop for any member wishing to plan events. If there are no
volunteers, there will be no events.
    Howard Feltman reported that The Landings Learning Group had a very
successful trip to Naples. The LLG is also looking for new people to help
plan new programs.  
    Cell phone use is increasing around the pool and tennis courts. Cell phones
should only be used in the case of a medical emergency. A sign will be posted
restricting the use of cell phones at the club.
    The March Board Meeting was held on the 19TH. The next meeting will be
Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 2:00 PM.
