LRC Annual Meeting 1/24/02
The members annual meeting was held on Thursday, January 24, 2002 with approximately 42 members present and 154 by proxy.
President Ralph Ricapito reviewed the list of accomplishments for the year 2001 including the purchase of a new piano and sound system for the Lakeside Clubhouse, new appliances, new carpet and window verticals for the Poolside Clubhouse, new carpet, new window verticals, painting and new exercise equipment for the Fitness Center, new canopy posts and canopies, new windscreens and additional canopies were added to each side of the Grandstand for the tennis court.
Treasurer Dick Graham repeated his report from the regular, monthly Board Meeting.
Dee Ricapito will be leaving as Chairwoman of the Social Committee but will offer her ongoing support and assistance. Dee will now be serving on the LMA board and has been working to bring The Landings Eagle back into publication
along with any additional duties she may take on. If anyone is interested in helping on the Social Committee, please contact Dee.
Fred Stahmann reported on the acquisition of a defibrillator and training of the LRC staff, Landings residents and the security staff.
Barrie Taylor reported that work on the pool and spa is currently underway.
Carol Furlong reported that the club would appreciate E-Mail addresses of LRC members to facilitate communication and keep members informed. A Website was established during the past year.
The meeting was opened to comments from the members on any matters relevant to and for the welfare of the club. Several members expressed positive comments regarding the excellent shape the club is in.
